Each of my photographs tells a story. Join me on a trail in the Khumbu Valley with the majestic icy peaks of the Himalayas looming above, along a Northern California seashore observing the untamed exuberance of waves crashing against rocky cliffs, as I stand by a serene river in Viet Nam, or on the shore of a pristine lake surrounded by Minnesota’s vast unspoiled North Woods.
Immerse yourself in the view. In each of these magnificent places, I’ve carefully chosen the perspective and a specific interpretation to portray my aesthetic vision and to tell a story. Each of these stories are influenced by my own curious and adventurous spirit that has been my constant companion — throughout my youth in Minnesota and through my adult life which has taken me from coast to coast. All of these experiences and diverse world travels have enriched my artistic palette.

Growing up in Minnesota, a place filled with the natural beauty of lakes, rivers, forests and farmlands, I was always surrounded by the natural environment. That's where I most wanted to be, whether amidst the vivid colors of summer or the pristine silence of winter white. I have always found time for making photos. Now, as more time is my own, I explore the world, fascinated by its color and diversity. Traveling in Asia, Africa, Latin America and elsewhere, I now have time for the adventurous: climbing Mt. Whitney, hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, or making the vast trek to Everest Base Camp. There's also time for the more serene setting of a still lake or a cathedral-like dark green forest after a fresh rainfall. It's all out there and I do my best to discover and then carefully compose what excites me, what moves me, and what transports me so that those who see my photographs will feel as if they too have been there with me. So that they too will be changed by what I've seen.
